February was a fairly quiet month as far as our Horse Racing Best
Bets & Sports Information was concerned with just 19 bets
advised! Still, with 7 winners we managed to make a profit of just
over 4 points to bring our total
profits for the year
to just over 17 points.
And don’t forget those profits are the minimum you should have made.
For example, anyone simply taking an early price on our horse racing
bets would have won just over 4 points more!
We didn’t land any really big priced winners in February but we
certainly got a run for our money and anyone trading prices and/or
hedging in-running would have won a small fortune!
For example, our each-way best bet on the 2nd, Snake Charmer,
finished just out of the frame at 8/1 but not before trading at odds
of 1.12 on Betfair in the closing stages! Incidentally, the early
price available on this one was 14/1.

Later on in the month, we were a shade unlucky not to collect on
another of our each-way best bets when Punta Galera got badly
outpaced early on but finished with a wet sail and only just failed
to get a place. This one was also heavily backed from 16/1 early
price down to 15/2 on the off.
It’s worth pointing out that it was not just our big priced
selections that were supported in the betting. In fact, every single
one of our best bets in February shortened in price!
This consistent market support certainly highlights the quality of
our information and also emphasises just how easy it is to boost
your profits simply by making the small effort to secure an early
price!

Our warm horses and system bets are also invariably well supported
in the market. In fact, in the first two months of this year, almost
72% of all our horse racing selections shortened in price! And with
the odds remaining the same on just over 14%, it meant less than 14%
of our selections actually drifted in the betting!
With figures like that there were obviously plenty of opportunities
for those of you interested in trading prices to secure a nice
profit regardless of the result!
Those figures are based on the best early prices available with the
bookmakers compared to the starting price. However, for trading
purposes, the prices available on the betting exchanges would
obviously be critical so the percentage of winning trades may not be
quite as high. Nevertheless, there will still have been plenty of
opportunities to significantly boost your profits by trading or
hedging and I’m sure you can all see the potential!
Our Horse Racing System Bets & Football Singles made a very small
loss in February if betting at starting price although we are still
showing a small profit for the year!
How we didn’t end up well in profit, I just don’t know! We certainly
had more than our fair share of ‘hard luck’ stories which was
highlighted by the fact a lot of our bets traded at unbelievably
short prices in-running!
For example, Wynberg, who dead-heated at 8/11 on the 4th actually
traded at the minimum price of 1.01 on
Betfair
in the closing
stages! The next day, 8/13 chance Never So Blue went as short as
1.11 before falling three from home!
Our luck wasn’t much better with our football bets
which was all too apparent a couple of days later when a last minute
equaliser by Crewe against Swansea turned what looked like a certain
3/4 winner into a loser!
The second half of the month was much better for us and we landed 9
winners from 10 bets! That still wasn’t enough to fully repair the
damage caused in the first week or so of the month but at least our
betting bank is still fully intact! And hopefully some of you
secured a nice profit by laying off in-running.

February was another very profitable month for our Weekend
Football Fixed Odds Forecasts with three winning weeks out of
four!
We came agonisingly close to landing a massive Jackpot win with our
‘double results’ in the first week of the month. With a minute to go
all 5 forecasts were correct and we were all set to collect some
3200 points! But Derby scored a last gasp equaliser against
Birmingham and we had to settle for a return of just over 600
points!
That’s still a fantastic win but I think just about every member had
mixed emotions! I know I did!
It wasn’t just because we lost out on such a big win, it was the
whole circumstances that made it so hard to take! With two minutes
to go it looked almost certain we would only have four forecasts
correct anyway so, if all games had ended then, we wouldn’t have
felt so hard done by!
But when East Fife scored a late winner from the penalty spot
against East Stirling, we had all 5 correct and the Jackpot was
firmly within our grasp until Derby snatched it away again a couple
of minutes later! Football can certainly be a cruel game at times!
Anyway, I suppose we can’t really complain. We still made a very
healthy profit and, in all fairness, luck evened itself out overall
although I must admit it was hard to see it like that at the time!
We drew a blank in the second week of the month when, for the first
time this year, we failed to get a return with any of our bets.
However, we quickly got back to winning ways when we landed all five
‘aways’ the following week. A return of almost 63 points secured a
decent overall profit for the week even though all our other bets
failed to produce a return.
We finished the month in fine style when we again landed all five
‘aways’ for a return of almost 72 points. The only ‘treble’ for the
week also won at odds of just under 7/2 to round off a very
successful month!
As you know, we recently started providing ‘best odds’ information
with the weekend forecasts. More information about the reason for
this can be found by clicking
here.
If you haven’t already done so, please take the time to read this
important message.
Some bookmakers don’t publish their odds for weekend matches until
Thursday. Therefore, in order to provide the most up to date
information possible, we have decided to hold back the weekly
forecasts until 7pm on Thursday evenings.
This change will ensure you are always able to easily get the best
odds available and will still give you plenty of time to place your
bets.
Despite Derby putting a slight dampener on our celebrations,
February was still another excellent month for us on the ‘fixed
odds’ front. And there are still a good few weeks left until the end
of the season so there is plenty of time for us to land a few more
big wins!

Our Warm Horses provided quite a few decent priced winners in
February including Exmoor Ranger who won for us at a very rewarding
14/1.
Other winners included Ballyfitz at 15/2 (early price 14/1) and
Mondial Jack at 7/1 (early price 12/1). Hopefully most of you took
the early prices!
We also had several other winners at odds of up to 9/2 and a few of
our big priced each way bets also made the frame. These included
Gold Again (11/1 from 14/1) and King’s Revenge (9/1 from 12/1). So,
all in all, it was a fairly decent month for followers of our warm
horses. Particularly if taking the early prices!
So, overall, it’s been an excellent start to the year for us and we
can all look forward to building on our profits during the busy
spring and summer months!
Well that’s all for now so until next time, enjoy your sport and
stay lucky!Dave
